Vicky Nolan - Eyes Wide Open
Canon Mark II again, but over exposed the shot, then graded in black and white. Very pleased with the results with some simple treatment. Great track, Eyes Wide Open is a cover originally by 'Gotye'.

I used a Canon 5D Mark II with a 50mm prime to film Vicky Nolan covering Coldplay's 'Don't Panic'. The light was limited but it still produced great colours; infact the low light softened up the image nicely. You can find out more about Vicky on here facebook page.
Well, those of you who are writers you will know that writing a good script is hard. Really hard. It takes time, patience and the ability to take critical feedback; then rewriting. And more rewriting. I am currently writing a short film. I've never done it before. I have written a few plays, read many scripts and stuff about writing; but actually writing - whole different thing. At this point, I am on version 31. It started as one shot, and reads like a play. Lots of rambling and dialogue and echos of a wanna be Tarantino which is my hangover from the 90's. Now i've gone to the other end of the spectrum, 11 locations, multiple flashback, and even a flashback within a flashback. Yup. I know, I'm a novice. At the very least I will appreciate what it takes. So, where to next? Well, i'll keep you posted.
Angelique played a main part in the short film 'Feral' that I produced. Seems like she has many more talents thas we realized! Check out her profile as 1st Runner up for Miss Flavour mag!
Spa - ‘Neil of Diamonds’ Director, Editor - Juice TV Music Awards Nominee. I shot this on Mini DV in Cuba in 2000. I then made a short clip called 'Halfway to Paradise'. My friend Hayden saw this clip and asked if we could use the footage for a music video for his band SPA; seeing as they had just won a grant from NZ on Air to make the clip, I couldn't refuse. The Super 8 effect was created by Paul Redican using a Flame post system while I directed.
